Description
A vintage advertising tin money box from the 1930s advertising Oxo cubes whilst at the same time commemorating the Coronation of George VI and Elizabeth in 1937.
The savings box is in the form of an English Post Office Post Box, and has a removable lid.
The tin would originally have contained 6 Oxo cubes.
The back of the tin reads: “George VI and Elizabeth May 12th 1937”, and the base of the tin reads: “Coronation souvenir Money Box containing 6 Oxo cubes, OXO Ltd, Thames House, London, England”.
It measures approximately just under 3″ across with a length of 3″ with a circumference of 6″.
